Gidley Cross - Meshaw Moor - Week -Molland Cross - Gidley Cross

Distance: 8 miles     Time:  2.5-3 hrs

From Gidley Cross, walk along the B3137 as far as Gidley Arms Cross and turn left in the direction to Kings Nympton.  Continue straight across Meshaw Cross Roads and on to Meshaw Moor Cross.

[As you pass Meshaw Moor Cross, note the entrance to Meshaw Moor Nature Reserve (Devon Wildlife Trust) to the left of the little white house - this is a walk for another day but you will need your wellies as it is almost always very wet!]

Continue along the road, passing Southdown Cross, then Hill Side Cross and also Odam Moor Cross.  After some distance you will come to Beacon Cross where you should turn left.  You will be able to enjoy some beautiful views towards Dartmoor from up there.  Walking south again, glorious on a sunny day, you follow the road down through West Week and over a small bridge until, following the road up the hill again, you will reach the junction at Molland Cross.  Turn left and continue past Mouseberry Cross, straight across Burrow Cross, finally reaching Gidley Cross.

The Weak Bridge at Week!
