Residents of Meshaw may have received a letter from BT (or their phone service provider) regarding the new digital home phone service Digital Voice, which is being rolled out across the country by the end of January 2027.
The old analogue copper landine network is being retired and phone users will be moved onto a new internet-based digital service which will provide clearer calls (similar to technologies like Skype and FaceTime) and more features to their phone service, some of which are not available on the current older network.
BT have scheduled roadshow events across the country to explain the changes to the telephone network and answer any questions customers may have.The nearest scheduled events to Meshaw are taking place in Tiverton and Barnstaple and are detailed below.
